Shine & Strength programmes

Worth

Young women discover that their value is not something they have to earn, prove, or perform for. Through guided conversations and reflective activities, they begin to understand their inherent significance and build a healthy sense of self-belief that is not shaped by comparison or pressure.

Strength

We equip young people with practical tools to navigate challenges, friendships, setbacks, and emotions with resilience and courage. Strength is developed through mindset shifts, emotional awareness, and learning how to respond thoughtfully to life’s pressures.

Purpose

Shine encourages young people to recognise their unique strengths, interests, and aspirations. They are guided to think beyond immediate circumstances and begin identifying the direction they want their life to take — grounded in their values and capabilities.

Our Foundational Principles

How it’s delivered

Shine is facilitated through structured, interactive sessions that are age-appropriate, practical, and grounded in real-life application. Young people engage in meaningful discussion, reflective exercises, and activities that support both personal growth and social development.

Our trained facilitators create safe, respectful environments where every participant feels heard, valued, and encouraged to grow.

This is not about quick fixes.

It is about building strong foundations — so young people don’t allow pressure, comparison, or adversity to determine who they are, but develop an inner confidence and clarity that guides their choices and directs their future.

Shine Programme for young women

Shine is a foundation-building, strength based programme designed to support young women. Shine is delivered in partnership with schools by trained facilitators who are passionate about seeing young people thrive.

We believe every life has value.

Every young women carries purpose.

Every heart holds a dream worth nurturing.

Shine is designed to strengthen identity, build resilience, and help young women to develop a clear sense of direction for their future. Rather than offering surface-level motivation, this programme focuses on lasting foundations — planting seeds that grow steadily over time.

Partnering with schools

Schools are shaping more than academic outcomes — you are shaping identity, character, and future direction.

Shine & Strength exists to come alongside schools and support young people in building confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of who they are.

This isn’t about fast results. This is intentional seeds, planted deeply, that grow and flourish over time.

Worth. Strength. Purpose.

Before behaviour shifts, before leadership grows, before resilience develops — youngpeople need to know their worth.

Key components - students:

  • Recognise their intrinsic value

  • Identify their strengths and gifts

  • Build confidence from the inside out

  • Develop healthy self-perception

  • Discover direction and purpose

When a young person understands their worth, sees their strength, and begins to grasp their purpose, something changes.

They carry themselves differently.
They make stronger choices.
They begin to shine.

One-on-one mentoring

Where growth gets personal.

Aimed at high-school aged young people, we meet them where they’re at — and walk with them as they rise. Through consistent connection, honest conversations, and intentional challenge, we help them take ownership of their story, strengthen their mindset, and move forward to dream with purpose.

This isn’t surface-level support. It’s intentional guidance that builds confidence from the inside out — developing resilience, accountability, and self-leadership along the way.

We create space for clarity — to process, heal, reset perspective, and refill what’s been depleted. We speak belief into potential — consistently affirming who they are and what they’re capable of becoming.

We challenge patterns that limit growth — replacing old mindsets with healthier ones and building habits that move them forward.

We awaken the dream within — stretching vision beyond present limits and building
courage to pursue it.

We celebrate every one-degree shift — learning from setbacks, honouring victories,
and building steady forward momentum.

Because real transformation happens when someone feels seen, supported, and encouraged to become the strongest version of themselves.

One life at a time. Intentional investment. Eternal impact.

Student Group Discussion

Peer mentorship / discipling

Peer Mentoring is a place where we grow together.

We meet in small groups — with spaces designed for ages 8–12 and 13+ — where everyone is welcome, everyone belongs, and everyone gets a chance to be heard. We learn about Jesus, build friendships, and figure out how to make good choices in everyday life.

This isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about learning.
It’s about growing.
It’s about doing life together.

We encourage each other.
We pray for each other.
We learn how to follow Jesus in ways that make sense for our age and stage.
We discover who God made us to be — and how we can use our gifts to help others.

Because faith grows stronger when we do it together.

How we do it

  • We meet regularly and spend time together.

  • We share food, play games, laugh, and talk about real things that matter to us.

  • We read the Bible in ways that are easy to understand and learn how it applies to school, friendships, family, and everyday challenges.

  • We ask questions — and no question is a silly question.

  • We learn how to serve — helping each other, our church body, and our community in simple but meaningful ways.

  • We celebrate progress — cheering each other on when we try something new, make a good choice, or grow in confidence.

  • Over time, we become a strong, supportive group — building friendships and foundations that help us grow into who God created us to be.
